I’m a licensed clinical social worker and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor practicing in the state of Michigan. I believe that everyone has the capacity to make positive changes.
Trauma impacts our ability to cope, and I believe that most mental health challenges develop as a result of living through and coping with something unbearable. What may feel doing everything "wrong," is a demonstration of your amazing resilience and self-preservation. Because of this, I know that those suffering from mental health disorders are some of the most brave, resilient, and fierce individuals on the planet. Through my own journey, I have learned the value of human connection and meeting someone exactly where they are.
I have three degrees in social work/mental health and have worked with a range of populations including individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, those experiencing homelessness, and individuals with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities. Through my experiences, I found my passion working with those struggling with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and addiction.
